New PayPal scam, beware

There's another PayPal scam out today. This one's an e-mail with the following text:
Dear Paypal Member.
We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages.
Protecting the security of your PayPal account is our primary concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
The message looks very official, but it is a fake. Just a heads up.

Yeah, I actually got that email the other day in my hotmail account (which paypal doesn't have on file). I knew it was a scam and didn't go through with it but, I'll have to admit, it looked authentic.
