Decals are printed...

Picked up the decals today. The look pretty good. Although they are not printed immaculately, they still look damn good. It kind of looks like a patch or somethin on a shirt, i dont know. But it does look good. I'll take pics tomorrow when i have access to a digital camera. Talk to ya'll l8r.

yup, it's on the outside. all these are UV protected and protected from the elements as they are vinyl.

Looks good Joe.

From what I understand, being vinyl doesn't make them UV protected though.

Just wanted to help you guys out with the UV protectioin question, so I asked my dad, who actually just bought a second additional vinyl cutter/printer for his store, and he took a seminar about how to use the new machine at the conference he bought it at. His comment on the topic was that some vinyl stickers are UV protected and some are not. It depends obviously on how they are made. If you print your vinyl sticker on something like a inkjet printer type device that literally just prints on the vinyl like it does on paper, then it will be fine for a few years (as he said, probably as long as you own the truck), but in a few years the UV protection and the protection from the elements will start to diminish the sticker. His new machine will keep the sticker nice for a long time though and as he stated, the stickers it produces will be UV protected because it uses heat to literally blend/combine the images it puts on vinyl with the vinyl itself. He said that with this process the sticker will be UV protected and will last longer then the stickers printed like an inkjet printer. He said though, that no matter which way they are printed, they will last for a good amount of time, but the second process will just last longer. Also, while he was at the seminar learning about the machine, a person who makes vinyl stickers for dirtbikes asked if the stickers are protected against abrasions since this will probably happen with dirtbikes and stickers that are on different parts of the bikes. The answer to this question is to spray a product on the sticker that is sold by the vinyl cutter company (apparently not directly to consumers) called SuperFrog Frog Juice. He showed me his can of it and it is an aerosol spray that is "like a clear coat on car paint". This will protect the stickers on bikes and stuff like that from the abrasions. If you all have any other questions I can ask him. Have a good day!

I thought about putting mine there Skagel but, I was worried that it would get 'scraped' off while opening the slider... not sure..

I'd scrap the other sticker on the lower corner and put the KR sticker!
