Kewl!

That's one thing about bourbon, the barrels are only used ONCE and then they are shipped off to the whiskey and rum manufacturers...

Wild Turkey...

Wow, there truely are a million and one things to start a conversation/thread with . I'm not much on drinkin' rum but I do like and my favorite is vodka and club soda, with a twist of lime of course.

I hope your family vacation is going great Mike. BTW, where in the world did you find a Ford Truck hat to fit the little cookie crumbler? I have a devil of a time finding neat hats to fit my son and he'll be four next month. If you run across another hat like that; get one and I'll reimburse you as long as it's not more than $10K.

Rock, is there anything that you don't know just a little bit about? Oh yeah, I forgot about electricity, hehehehe...j/k, sorry, I couldn't resist...

Later,

~DM~

HAHA! Wild Turkey is a client... We do some compliance work for them...

You're right on electricity. No arguements there...

Say, found any more gold in em' er' hills? Diamonds? (I couldn't resist either).

I might object. I'll let you know in a few days while I'm out in Montana on biznuss (and then WA State the next week... )

It's funny, each island in the Carib and southern Atlantic has it's own brand. Cruzan in the USVI, Pussers in the BVI, Bacardi in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, Goslings in Bermuda , Mount Gay in Barbados, and so forth. They are all good tasting too. The only one that I don't care for is Meyers. If someone would have told me that they aged it in barrels used to store drained motor oil I'd believe it.
Sounds like a nice trip, hope you had a good time.

Mike,

It's been raining here off and on too like a **** for several weeks, friggin' trench for my shop footing is like a moat! Only things my moat lacks are a few snapping crockodiles or sharks, hahahah. That was funny as he!! about the hydroponic gardening comment, hahaha.

Rock,

You're right, I can barely tell the difference between sand, clay and top soil and everything else is just some kind of friggin' rock, hahaha. You got me there man, you remain the king of PICKing out ROCKS in my book...BTW, I'll try and remember to bring my gold and diamonds to L'ville when we blast through there this October to make you envious.

Bronco,

Did you visit each of the islands you mentioned? If so, you must have the right career or save all your money for real vacations. BTW, what projects do you have underway this summer?

Later,

~DM~

Daveman,
I've been lucky enough to get to St Thomas and St John, as well as Tortola and Virgin Gorda. My wife and I were married on St Thomas. In Puerto Rico long enough to get a bottle of Bacardi before catching a flight, can't really say that I've seen the island. My poker buddies always bring back a bottle from their trips to the islands, it's almost a tradition. Our winters are long, and we try to get somewhere warm in the spring, be it Southern Utah desert, Las Vegas. Caribbean or this year California (my brother's wedding). I don't think that I could live in that kind of heat, but I sure enjoy a week or so of it!
Back to the rum thing, one of the funnier things I saw on our last trip to the islands was 2 couples checking in at the ticket counter at the St Thomas airport. They had one to many bottles of rum, so they took the cap off, gave it a good toss, and between the 4 of them they drank about 2/3rds of the bottle in about a minutes time. It was an 8:30am flight!
