The Price

KR is branded with the King Ranch Brand and has Castano Leather seats and special paint job & different rims. Probably there's more but soem KR owner can add the rest

King Ranch is a trim level. It's listed as a Lariat however it contains a Castano Leather interior (available with 4 buckets with two large center consoles like the HD Edition). The leather is what makes the King Ranch Edition a King Ranch Edition. It is a non-clearcoated leather that is very similar to baseball glove leather. It's EXTREMELY soft and supple and requires quite a bit more care than the standard clear coated leathers available on your HD and also the regular lariat.

The two tone paint is unique to the King Ranch as well as the two tone (the Arizona Beige) comes up higher on the sides. All of the plastic on the exterior of the vehicle matches in Arizona Beige. The wheels are 17" standard and have color keyed AZ Beige Trim with a 'RUNNING W' (King Ranch's Trademark) on the center cap. And, of course, the badging is different. The grille insert is also beige.

All of the 2003 KRs come with chrome step bars with AZ beige step pads. Also, the interior floor mats are embroidered with KING RANCH.

Other than that, it's a Lariat.

Here are some pics...

Like I mentioned, the main difference is the interior:

Here you can see the paint difference along with all beige plastic on the bed rails and, because mine is a 2001, I have beige running boards... You can also note the KING RANCH badge on tailgate and fender.

The wheels are color keyed with the arizona beige on the truck as well which is unique for the KR Edition.

I think that pretty much touches all of the bases...

Feel free to browse through my gallery as linked in my signature line and email me if you have any questions.

Please note that the leather is a bit of work. You will need to condition it a little more frequently than regular clear coated leather but, on the flip side, as you own a HD, I know that you're going to be super particular about upkeep. As long as you pay attention to detail on your leather and keep it fed, you'll love it. Neglect it and it will go downhill in rapid fashion.

The 2001 and the 2003 vary very little.

I could get into Ford SuperCrew changes (ie: the back glass design and wiring color changes) but, I'll spare you those gory details.

The only two things that I can think of off the top of my head is the nerf bars versus the running boards like mine and the diamond cut clear headlights on the 2003.

Oh yeah, and some of the 2001's came with a regular F-150 SUPERCREW badge on the tailgate versus the KING RANCH badge.

Bout it'

Krix,
One of the main differences between the Lariet Supercrews and the King rancH Supercrews is that the Lariet Screws are the base model for our King rancH's (just kidding) honestly, driving down the road in your HD you can wave to another HD and it is cool. Driving down the road in a KR and waving to another KR is like a mutual respect for how special the truck and owner really are. (IMO)
