well, mostly yes that is true, but not everyone is as obsessed as I am. just thought it would be easier for people to scope through a bunch of pics through one link....this way it would assure the voter didn't miss some one's truck.

Ahh... maybe this is a lost cause. I don't have 10 hours to post everyone's gallery link...

Doesn't have to be this difficult.

Just forget it.

ok fine...what I was thinking was that you/we/somebody creat a sort of gallery using msn or yahoo...they both have these photo share things.....I use them to post my pics and share w/friends/family....somebody could create one and we on our own could create our own album and post 3-5 pics in it...the album would be our username.....make sense or did I loose ya on this one?

Makes sense... too much of a hassle.

I was just trying to think outside of the box on this thing... didn't want to generate a slew of work for more people. Trust me, the less work the better... I've definately learned that with this shirt buy thing. I guess you could say I'm getting a little burned out.

RockPick -

I don't think anyone here could fault you for being burned out. You took on one heck of an extra load, besides your personal and professional life, when you took on this shirt ordering thing and you've done one tremendous job! And it's not over yet.

At last count, you had 36 people signed up to order shirts on your "Shirt Ordering" post. On your last "Paid In Full" post, you had twenty-one people who had already paid.

I like your "Truck of the Month" idea but its time to share the wealth and let some other folks take on some of the responsibilities. I agree with Skagel. It's an awful lot to expect folks to visit between 30-40 albums to see which truck they should vote for. A common album with 3-5 pictures of everyones truck would sure make things a lot easier but you shouldn't have to do that.

I'm not exactly sure how we would go about setting up such an album but it would be a nice touch for the club. Someplace anyone could go who wants to see the trucks our club members take so much pride in.

Just wanted to offer my opinion for what its worth and get some feedback from some of our more "computer literate" members.

One other thing. I've made up a very simple business card using the club logo. If I spot a KR out there, I thought I'd drop one on the windshield inviting them to join us. What do you think?

I have an idea that ought to help y'all considerably-

It just so happens I'm a professional web designer so I'm proposing that I could make a website, have a page for each of the trucks and have a form where you can type in the username of the truck and submit and it'd be sent to Rockpick or someone else if needed then the results would be psoted on the page etc. This would of course cost money but for the amount of people involved it shouldn't cost much to each person.

You can check out my page (http://fishermans-net.com ) (yeah I just recently started it) I would give a big discount on the prices shown there since this is a non profit org.

If y'all are interested please let me know. Anyone needing to contact me directly an send your mail to webmaster@fishermans-net.com

a Side note, the charge is around 75 per page, but I'd not charge extra for the truck pages since I wouldn't have to do a lot of extra stuff to them since the'd be mainly pics.

Hey bloom, thats a great idea.

I was thinking about like just a simple home page with a page about us, and a page with a type of gallery thing...i cant explain it, but i have a pretty good idea of it. i'm not trying to take business away from you or anything, but i'd do it for free in my spare time. i dont have a home site for me, myself, but these are a few sites i've designed and created:

www.drycleancarpets.com (my first one)

www.alltoolrental.com (the most recent site i've done)

Let's crawl first... please. Let's crawl.

And again, I have a personal commitment to f150online to **NOT** compete. I intend on upholding that promise.

RP,

if you read my post, it says:

I was thinking about like just a simple home page with a page about us, and a page with a type of gallery thing
that does not say competing with f150online. nothing about any message boards or anything. the gallery thing i couldnt explain was to have a page with one pic of everyones truck with a link leading to their f150online gallery.

walk by 1, talk by 2...that's the saying...are we talking yet?

Thanks Chestnut. I appreciate your words.

We've talked a little about having some business cards or something of that nature printed up such that we could leave them on the windshields. Great idea...
