Incredible Weather!!!

It was almost 70 here yesterday so I snuck out of the office early went home and actually washed the truck outside.....It was Tomas's first shower in a very long time.....I really wanted to drive him into to the office todat, but noooo....the roads are soaking wet.....so I will just have to waite....

I used dish soap when I washed him to remove last years wax....planning on spending my weekend with him waxing him.....I used Maguires last year......any suggestions on something better? I really want to get that feel of being able to put your hands right through the paint....figuratively speaking.

I put 3 coats of "liquid glass" on Samantha before we left the States.
I was most impressed with the result......did you not see those silly self portraits RP and I did on a previous thread ?

Have given the Aston 2 coats with some that we brought back in our luggage and the results are, again, excellent.

Now....SAMANTHA.....I'm fed up with all this Tomas business so I'm going to start using some girlie names for our truck. They will be different each time just to confuse the innocent "lurkers" who follow these threads without ever joining in !

What's yours called RP ??

(PS I think it's disgraceful not passing on your owners handbooks!)

(PPS I have a good collection out of rental cars!)

(And thinking of all those people who rented cars after me stuck in the middle of Nebraska late at night with a puncture trying to work out just where the tools are ! )

And no I'm not serious !!

Finally...

Back to KY and 'regular' weather. Over 4 feet of snow in 24 hours was pretty impressive. First and last trip to Denver in March.

I was in Denver for that storm too. I was on a plane to leave Tuesday PM, when they cancelled the flight. Had to spend two nights at the in-laws. They live in a gated community and they do not plow the roads. Flights were cancelled Wed. and Thurs and rescheduled for Sunday -- connecting in LAX to DFW. I said no more and drove the rental car back to Dallas. 13 hours, 891 miles.

I had to be towed by a 4x4 to get out of my father in laws neighborhood to find dry roads.

Bill,

It was definately one SOB of a storm. What I found most impressive was how it immobilized a city like Denver. NOTHING was open...

I thought Colorado got copius amounts of precipitation each year (mainly snow) and they would've been better prepared for a storm of that nature.

I certainly didn't think it would shut the airport down for three days. The line for United was still INCREDIBLY long today. Thank god I was flying NorthWest...

I understand making the drive back to Texas. I'm sure you were ready to get the heck out of there...

I know I sure was...I'm glad to be home...
