White KR Picture

I finally got a picture of my white King Ranch. Since Skagel has a name for her truck, I think I'll give mine a name. How does "LULABELLE" sound?

Thanks Rock,

How did you get the picture in the message? I've been trying for 20 minutes and I haven't figured the album out.

Nice truck.....not quite so sure about your choice of name.

Was that tongue in cheek or is there a serious reason for that name ?

Incidentally Sarah.....regarding the pet name for your truck...I don't know why I have never mentioned this before.....but do you actually know that the name Tomas is a euphamism for something entirely different on t'other side of the pond !!?

no, but please do tell.....I am always learning new stuff about my Tomas's name....which BTW my truck was originally named after my favorite auther Thomas Sowell, but later because he is blue and I had to add the #1 to my liscence plate became known as Thomas the Tank engine.

And naming your truck is only the begining my friend......it is all down hill now!

Dear Sarah......

I'm afraid that information will have to be confidential in an E mail which I will forward to you.

The moderator/censor would not like that info' here !

In truth the real euphamism is "John Thomas", very far removed from the intention of the dear Rev. Audrey, the originator of the Thomas stories.....incidentally of which Gordon the Green Engine was always my favorite because he really was like the engines that thundered between London and Scotland in those far off days when I was a sad "train spotter" writing down the numbers of all the engines.

50 years later not a lot has changed....I'm now a sad KR spotter !!!!

Thanks for the comments, folks. The name was pretty much tongue in cheek, the missus calls it "The King", that sounds better than Lulabelle.

When I went to the Ford dealer looking for a new truck I had my mind set on an Estate Green KR but when I saw the white I changed my mind.

I like your truck Mike, the blue was also in consideration for our color choice. Where did you get the Huske KR Mud Flaps? I've been looking for a set for mine.

The only mods I've done to the truck so far is the Astro cover and Bedrug. I plan later on to add Magnaflow exhaust, Electric Fan and K&N or equivilant air intake, not sure yet on the Chip.

I like the compliment Mike! It's not that much to just painting you need to do. Bite the bullet, buy a white one, get the lid painted!!!

Jayhawker -

That's a nice looking truck you got there. Since I still haven't found one in my area to look at "up close and personal", I've got a couple questions. First, is the trim color the Arizona Beige? It's a little hard to tell in the picture. Looks sorta grey. Second, is the interior the traditional King Ranch tan color leather? I'm having trouble picturing the leather interior with the white main color. By the way, white is one of my favorite colors on a car/truck. Just something about white that looks clean and classy. Add that to the King Ranch package and you've definitely got a winning truck!

To answer your questions, Chestnut, I guess you would call the trim color Arizona Beige. Maybe Damon can answer that better since he has an Arizona Beige truck.

The seats are the traditional Saddle Tan just like the other King Ranches. I have to say it looks pretty sharp in contrast with the white.

When I bought my truck the dealership had 3 white ones on their lot, one was a 4x4, one had the moon roof and without the moon roof. I got the one without the moon roof because it was an accessory that I would never use.

The only differencein the two new colors added to the KR line is just that, two new colors. Yes it is still the arizona beige on the bottom and yes the interior is identical. I will post some pics of mine too.
