A dealership with class

Brought the KR back to the dealership today for it's first oil change. Before I finished signing the papers, the truck was on the rack (I never expected "while you wait" service). They quickly noticed a small oil leak that looked like it had recently developed. Before the service manager finishes explaining this to me, another service tech pulls up with a new truck for my loaner. Within 10 minutes I was in and out.
After leaving, I called and asked if they could deliver it to the local Line-x shop for me after the shop had fixed the leak. They not only agreed, but told me to hang on to the loaner and after the line-x was done, they'd deliver my truck to my home (30 miles away) and pick up the loaner. If that's not good service, someone please tell me what is.

Sounds kind of rough, now if they bring you pizza when they come to trade trucks...
That is just great, I don't know if you will get any better service than that!

hey where was the leak coming from. I am taking Tomas into the Doctor today for a leak that seems to be coming from a sensor just above the oil filter. I would like to know if how common this is among our babies.

Thumbs up Re: A dealership with class

Not bad but, I think my dealership has even more class than that.

I was in the showroom with my salesman and it was fairly crowded when I accidently broke wind, rather loudly.
Without missing a beat my salesman claimed it. Not only that, he apoligized to everyone present for being such a miserable cur.
I was so impressed with his galantry, I paid MSRP.

Now that was Class.

No, Sarah. It's coming from the pan. They dropped the pan. The gasket still looked intact and there didn't seem to be any damage or defects in the pan, so they are replacing both. I should be back in business by Monday.... or Tuesday rather, after the Line-X is installed.

Update...

Just to add to my satisfaction, The dealer called me Tuesday and said my truck was ready, but the Line-x wasn't installed because they couldn't arrange an appointment until Thursday. Keep in mind that the dealership has NOTHING to do with my Line-x installation. They told me to bring my truck back today, they'd give me another loaner and still bring it to the Line-x location and see about the liner. I brought my truck by this afternoon and they gave me a new Supercab XLT to drive while they bring my truck to have my Line-x installed.

In addition, the charge for the oil change ended up costing me $4.00 for the filter only. They said that because of the oil leak, they would've had to replace the oil anyway. It had crossed my mind, but I didn't even have to remind them of it.

Skagel, what's the status of your oil leak from the sensor?
