Arizona Beige Touch-Up Paint - Help!

I'm having trouble finding a can of touch-up paint for AZ Beige. Specifically, I'm wanting a 4 oz spray can of dupli-color or plasti-coat but, the problem is, dupli-color doesn't make a 4oz size (only the 1/2 oz touch up). Has anyone tried a different paint code and found that it's 'nearly' identical?

I know the paint code is AQ.

I also know about paintscratch.com and a few others. I've got a quick and easy project here that I just want to get close on the match with the color and not spend an arm and a leg on a can of paint (ie: paintscratch - approx $15+). It does not have to be a precision match. Just pretty close!

Autozone and Meijer (a store like Wally-Hell) carry Dupli-Color. The guy at Autozone claims that Dupli doesn't make the AQ in a spray (his color guide backed him up on this statement as well). Wally-World has Plasti-Cote but no color guide to use thus, I'm totally shooting in the dark there. I've learned not to rely on the 'cap color'.

Help!!

Thanks,
RP

I don't know what you're doing but, whatever it is, IMHO I don't think Harvest Gold would be close enough for your standards, Rock. (no offense intended )

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking as well.

I have two options the way I see it...

I can use up what's left of my AZ Beige Touch up paint that I bought from the stealership or, buy a can of $30 spray paint from paintscratch.com. What a rip huh? Really sucks!

I'm sad.

Hey RP, If you tell me what you are planning, I will tell you a secret too!!!

I have five cans of the AQ paint that I bought from paintscratch.com when I was going to paint my brush guard. I was going to sell them through classified. They were bought 8 months ago and matched well as I used one can on my bug guards for both trucks. I paid a lot for this paint. They are the big cans. Let me know what you would be willing to pay for one and we'll see what we can do. Email me! damoncaravanman@hotmail.com

Yeah, I bit the bullet and just ran by the parts counter this morning. Thanks for the offer Damon. I'll make it work. I didn't need much paint.

Hmm, what is a pair and requires only a little paint.... Curiosity and hints are going to lead to someone guessing your project. It is obviously exterior, as the AZ beige does not match the interior. What could it be? Maybe the windshield washer nozzles? That's about all I can think of. Did I win???

LMAO... I'm not accepting guesses either!! LOL...

It's nothing that's 'Original'. I mean, the mod has been done NUMEROUS times by other owners.

Skagel, to my knowledge, is the only one that knows. And, I've threatend TOMAS thus, I'm pretty sure she won't tell. MUHAHAHA!

Honestly, I don't want to unveil it because, if it sucks and looks awful, I'll have time to cover it up and pretend it never happend and just tell you all that I never did it...

LOL!

...(on second thought, if this was it, you'd be taking Damon up on his offer of the 8 cans of spray in order to fully do the job)
Mike...

I told you not to tell everyone about the pictures that you requested I send you... now everyone knows how big they are!! Geesh...Just when you think you can trust a fellow KR'er.

ROFL!

RP

Oh yeah, and the reason Skagel knows is because she requested the same photos.

Yes, this has turned out to be a guessing game! Here are my answers!!
1. rear mud flaps
2. brake callipers
3. wiper arms (hey some people do!)
4. rear slotted light covers
5. front KC light guards/ and or covers
6. dual CB antennaes
7. door sill step shield protectors
Now, I can't think of much else. Let me know what I win, A Krispy Cream????
