Hitch Receiver Cover

For those who want to put a small finishing touch on an already great truck I found a nice Hitch Receiver cover. It's the one like you see on some of the Expeditions.

I got one from the Ford Dealer for $11.52 + tax. The part number is 1L2Z-17F000-CA. I just put mine on my King Ranch and it looks great.

I bought this and thought it looked great....glad I took the picture right away because now a year and a half later all the stripes fell off (they were a plastic fill material of some sort on a cast metal base) and it's all pitted up. I really need a new one.

Jay,

Thanks for the recomendation on this piece... I ordered one with an order from FordPartsNetwork.com and figured that if I didn't like it, I could chuck it on a table and let it collect dust. It was only $7 ... but, I LOVE IT. It looks good. Now that I have a KR emblem on the tailgate, I'm going to scrap my KR hitch cover (too many running w's on the rear end of the truck). That plug looks EXCELLENT.

Thanks for the idea.

I'll post pictures tomorrow... it's going to be all shiny too. Wax day tomorrow.

Hey RP, want to sell your KR hitch cover? I thought about doin that my-self. Well, maybe just use the KR badge and put it on the front chrome plate to replace the Ford emblem. I think that is what I want to do, now that I think about it, I already have a rear KR badge, but now want it for the front. You willin to sell the badge only so I can use it on the front plate?

Thats the one I also bought. Gives the hitch receiver a nice clean look.
