Choose your own name !!

Here's a thought as a diversion from the usual truck posts.
It arose because of one of Dufunnels posts under "Cold" where someone inquired who Andy was.

He goes on to say that most of us know each other by our real names...well I think I know a fair few but it led me to thinking.

If you had been able to choose your own name from birth what would it have been rather than what your parents endowed you with?

What is one name you are very grateful you weren't lumbered with !?

So...

A. What is your real name that you think most of us know !?

B. What first name would you have chosen for yourself !?

C. What name are you grateful you didn't get!?

Here's mine to start the ball rolling.

A. John

B. Carl

C. Herbert

Yes, there sure have been some strange names in the past (And possibly present).

Imagine the proud parents looking at their lovely newborn son in his cot, and saying...
"What shall we call him ?"

"I know !"

"Oswald"

MMMmmm, hope there's no KR owning Oswald's out there !!!!

C) Timothy (too many syllables plus, it would make my initials TLC... I'd catch a lot of grief for that... LOL...although, just think of the pick-up lines I could use... "Hey baby, you want some TLC?" HAHA!! )

these are 2 names that parents actually named their kids around here. A few of my friend's parents are nurses, and this is what some of their patients had written on their childs brith certificate.
1st one.....*****head....pronounced Sha-tee--ed
2nd one...Nosmo King......Couldn't speak english,...saw a sign in the room that said No smoKing and thought it would be a good name for their kid

i'm tellin ya, what some people don't torture their kids with

C) Chaos (this is actually my dog's name) It means the creation of the universe from Greek mythology. It is also a division of mathematics that tries to apply formulae to predict the unpredictable, such as weather patterns, the shape of a mountain horizon, or traffic patterns. Jeff Goldblum in the original Jurrasic Park movie was a Chaos mathematician.

Oh, by the way, I'm a Math Teacher.
