hey guys,

flatratetech.com is a site i just happened along recently. the site appears to be run by ford techs. and although nothing extravagant...there is an owner's forum where you can post questions and techs will answer. kinda kewl if you are having any issues with your truck...check it out.

Nice site Troy. Thanks for sharing.

Interestingly enough, you posted this as my truck is begining to thunk with more regularity and consistancy. How is yours doing since the 03 parts replacement?

So Troy,

The replaced the driveline and rear end with an 03? Is that all they did?

I have a feeling I need to start fighting this war with my stealership.

no, they basically took a transfer case off an '03 sitting on the lot and put it on my truck. that appears to have fixed the thunk/clunk. my theory is that the output shaft on some of these transfer cases/trannies is incompatible with the slip yoke on the driveshaft.

in your case, rock...you've got a 2wd and therefore no transfer case. will be interesting to see what they tell ya...!

There is a TSB out for the whistle. See the SCrew board...
