Hi There, I am in process of purchasing a 2011 F150 sport crewcab fx2 5.0, not the most practical vehicle for our small english roads i know! The car was imported 3 years ago (2109) from canada to the uk, Having done a car fax check, it is showing a service and odo reading in 2021 at the same place it was serviced since new in canada. My question to you, is carfax completely reliable where service information is concerned? Could the car im looking to purchase have fraudulent vin plates or the vin number copied to a vehicle in canada since its departure? any advice welcome from you knowledgeable people as it is a super clean truck and dont want to let it go for what could possibly be false information (fake news)!

I have emailed the dealership it was serviced at, no response as yet, being an import its not so straight forward over here!

I wouldn't expect any fraud but who knows for sure. If you go to a Ford dealer in the UK they might be able to look up any service it has had at a Ford dealer

 

It has always been serviced at Formula Ford, Pickering, Ontario , 30 service stamps showing on carfax for the 8 years it was in canada, but one of those services logged are since its been in the uk?

I have contacted Formula ford but no response as yet.

 

I believe you are overthinking it. I would say your truck is just fine with the correct VIN.
