Well, perhaps naming the thread JJ is stretching it a little (or a lot) :-)
New to the woods and the hills in Northern California, new to truck owning as well. Bought a state owned 2001 bi-fuel F150 7700 5.4L 4x4 with 126K miles so that I can do chores here year round without getting stuck in the mud and the snow on the higher elevations.
The CNG tank has been removed, and I expect at some point to remove the old (came with the truck, installed by GFI) CNG system altogether so as to un-clutter under the hood. Some readers will undoubtedly feel that it is worth keeping the CNG system, but the tank took up too much of the 6.5' bed, and I believe in simplicity over complexity most of the time.
Anyway, I've read a lot of posts on the forums here and I'm very impressed by the level of knowledge, the questions and the answers - expecting to learn a lot from long-time truck owners.
First post wouldn't be complete without a couple of pics:
RackIt taken off so that I can get it into the garage for some work
One side of coils and plugs is buried under all that...
