Driving down highway 5, it gets pretty windy. While on my way to LA yesterday, I heard a somewhat loud thump. As the truck still handled well and I couldn't see anything that hit it, plus I was in a hurry, I continued driving. When pumping gas a little later, I realized that the cover for the third break light was completely gone. I've had my 2004 5.4L f150 for about 9 years now and no one has tinkered with the third break light at all. Has this happened to anyone else before? And does anyone know where I can buy just the cover and not the whole light set? I appreciate any help. Thank you.

 

LMC sells replacement light pieces, off the cuff I can't say for sure they sell only the lenses for sure. But I know they carry stock and aftermarket versions of all the other light assemblies

 

You're going to want a whole new light. They have an updated gasket that helps with water intrusion on the back of the cab
