Have a 2000 Ford F150 Automatic w/5.4L - Been having shifting issues with this truck. First started out with the truck stuck in 3rd gear. Trans shop said to change the Prindle Switch (Safety Neutral Switch). Did not resolve. Then took to trans shop and they said it was not reading the prindle switch and it was a wiring issue. Left it with them. They put in a used wiring harness and replace the switch I installed. The put the one I installed back in since it did not seem to be the issue. Trans shop said it was fixed and we picked it up. It was ok for a few days and then it started shifting hard; slamming into gear, even from park to drive, etc. Check Engine Light on and Code P0708 is displayed. Took back to them; they 'thought' it was the PCM. I 'believe' they replaced it with a used pcm. They claimed again it was fixed. Got in it this am to drive it and it is still slamming into gear and check engine comes back on and P0708 code again.

Any one have any suggestions other than firing the trans shop?
