I'm the happy owner of a 2001 F150, with the 5.4 Triton engine. I bought the truck new and have only had a few minor problems. One being the spark plug threads, and a couple of coil failures. I put helicoils in all eight spark plug holes and that took care of the problem. I now carry and extra coil with me.

All in all, this is my absolute favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I'm in my 60s so I have had a few. My wife drives a 2012 Escape and my daughter a 2006 Mustang that is way too fast for her, she should give it to me.

I'm a truck truck technician and run a fairly large truck shop, however my knowledge of automotive and light trucks is limited.

Welcome!

Included in my family corral are an '05 Escape (wife's car) and an '08 Mustang (my toy), so we have some similar vehicles in our fleets......
