Mojave Bound

Just gave notice on my current job and moving to Palmdale...Lancaster...from Sacramento. I have a 2005 SC Lariat, Fabtech 6" lift, Toyo 35's with a Whipple Supercharger. Might be time to let it go since I will be driving a lot on the highway. Anyone know the area? I find nothing but bad posts when I search for the area. I know there is a lot of sand so I guess the tires will work out. I have not figured out pics yet.

Whipple supercharger spark plugs

I just put new plugs in my truck. Went with the Ford Racing 0 deg. plugs. Did not need the dreaded tool!. I'm thinking the racing plugs don't break as easy. Either way it is nice to know they are new. I did do the 1/4 turn, seafoam, remove method. Worked for me.

I also put new tires on a few months ago. I had Toyo M/C A/T's and went to the Toyo M/C Muds. The truck seems to pull to the right a little with the muds. Anyone else have this issue with the muds on? Tire dealer claims it is typical with the 35" muds on a Ford but not as bad as a Dodge would pull with the same tires.

Mud tires are (much) more difficult to balance, so that may have something to do with the pulling. But I don't think it's a "Ford thing." And I certainly don't think it would always be to the right, if he was implying that. You do need an alignment when changing tire size though, even if both AT and MT were the same size because they aren't exactly the same and MTs can be significantly larger.

As far as selling the truck, unless the gas is gonna kill you, I'd keep driving it.

I did not think the pulling because it is lifted with 35" muds sounded right either. I had it aligned a few months before I put the new tires on so I did not do it again. I think I will take it to another shop and just get it done.

Well gas is one issue. I have too many cars right now and need to reduce the fleet. I also have a 1971 Toyota FJ40. One of them is going. Hmmm, which one..... I know the answer here.

Take it to the shop that aligned it last time, or one where you know the guys in charge, and have them check the alignment and make a minor adjustment(s) to see if anything is off. Problem is, once tires have established a bad wear pattern from being non-aligned, it messes that tire up for the rest of its life. 2 of my tires are like this, so mine pulls to the right even though the alignment is bang-on.

What are all the vehicles? I'll help ya decide right now the foreign rig is on the chopping block for me haha. The owners of the dealership I work at both have several old Land Cruisers, and they're pretty cool.
