New to F150

Hey folks. Just bought a 2013 F150 SCAB STX 5.0L. coming over from a 2005 Ram 1500RC 4.7L.

Bought the Ram brand new not thinking of having a family anytime soon. Didn't last too long. Married a girl w/ a son and now have a 3 yr old of our own so space was slim.

Test drove both the 3.5L and 5.0L and although impressed with the 3.5 didn't feel comfortable with some of the reviews out there. Especially towing on a highway. I occasionally tow our boat on the highway and didn't want to worry about turbos dropping out on me and getting ran over. Also test drove the 5.7L Hemi but honestly wasn't impressed. The deciding factor was probably the comfort. Just waiting on the call from the dealer to drop it back off to get the spray in liner and rear sliding window installed. Looking for a mild lift and taller tires. Joins the family beside my wifes 2013 Mustang GT.

sweet, i think youll be pretty happy with the 5.0. as for a lift and tires, depending on how heavy your boat is and what rear end you have a simple 2 inch leveling kit and 33s may suit you best.
