Old Guy - Old Truck

I just bought my second F-150 and thought I oughta get on here...

First one was a premo '99 4.2 XL Scab I used to remodel my home from 2010 - 2012. Like a fool I sold it before deciding to build a new home on some old property.

So, I just bought a '97 XLT 4.6 regular cab for $2400 and am going through it to get dependable service for the next two years I'll be building from scratch. It's a tad rough but runs well and is worth the few repairs needed. As an active Miata forum participant, this forum looks like a great resource for all that I'll need to get the work done.. looking forward to reading up on all things F-150.

Will be hitting up ebay in a little while. Is there a particular superchips I am looking for? How do I know if someone bricked it or not?
