soon-to-be F150 driver :)
Hello, everyone, or at least those who read this part of the forum..
Currently I'm still driving my 2006 Mustang V6 with multiple aftermarket upgrades. But here pretty soon I'm going to upsize to an F-150. Main reason to join this forum so early is so I can get some input from the experts.
My plan is to get a 2007 or 2008 F150 with lower miles (20k) and either make it fast or make it unstoppable. That part I haven't really decided on. My first plan was to get an F X 2, roush supercharge it, upgrade suspension, blah blah blah. But now I'm thinking about a 4wd pickup.
My question is, would it be a better idea to stick with a 2wd pickup and avoid damaging 4wd driveline and dealing with maintenance? Or will the 4 X 4 driveline stand up to adding F/I? I apologize if I'm posting a question in the wrong section of the forum and sorry about the long read, I didn't want any confusion about what I'm trying to ask.. if that was even avoided
anywho, glad I'll still be in the First On Race Day group and looking forward to your input

my first plan was a "street truck" like the F150 Nitemare. But I live in Kansas and my country roads aren't the greatest. We just got loaded with snow and I was basically afoot in my stang. So 4wd would be nice, but if the driveline wouldn't stand up to a supercharger than I'd just bum a ride from a redneck friend lol
