New to newer trucks

Ok, I admit it, my many Fords were lifted, modified, puddle jumpers that were lots of fun after several beers and a good rain. There's still nothing like enjoying the vertigo when rotating on the axis and spitting mud out in 30' rooster tails, crawling along while the speedo shows your going 10 times faster than you are and enjoying the sound of a properly timed mid cam engine breathing fire out of a sweet sounding dual exhaust.
Plus, the scenery at traffic lights sitting a couple feet above almost every other vehicle is enough to make a man howl.
Only those that have been there can appreciate what I just said.
So, that being said, I finally took the plunge and got a newer model that won't get lifted.
I picked up an exceptionally clean 2004 FX4 a couple months ago, and have since been thoroughly sucked into low key mods.
I put in an Edge performance chip, added a 600 watt amp and a couple 10" subs under the back seat to the Pioneer factory nav, and now understand I have only started.
Here's the deal, the nav is factory, and going on 8 years old. I'm going to swap it out, but the steering wheel only has cruise control.
I understand I can get new switch banks with more options that will fit so I can install remote audio controls.
Has anyone done this?
I am open to all the maintenance tips/tricks anyone may have as well.
Part of the sale was a full service, including plugs, tranny, and 3rd member.
So the plugs are dealer serviced new. I'm going to have the exhaust split into two just after the down pipe and go with flowmaster. It has a vortex cold air injection dealer installed but nothing for the output.
Thanks

Welcome to the site! You may want to post this on the Audio forum or the year model forum of your truck. May get some more input there.
