Hello from VA; former Ram owner
Hello everyone
. I'm a new member to the forum. I have been reading on here for some time now and figured i'd join and take part. I have owned Rams and Dakotas up until now. I found a great deal on a one owner 2001 supercrew 5.4 so decided to try my hand at an F-150. So far, it's been a great truck and I really like it. I did the Gotts mod and added the MagnaPack and am very pleased with the sound. What i do need to work on and improve is the power. I didn't realize when i purchased it that among the 5 fullsize trucks out there, this 5.4 2V seems to be the slowest. It has 3.55 gears and i cant complain about the gas mileage as it is my daily driver. It has great torque, but i would like "more power" and "get up and go". I'll work on it with all the great information on this site. I've had really good luck with Escorts, a Taurus and a couple of Mustangs in the past and i'm looking forward to driving and "modding" this F-150.
