My first FORD! A couple small problems...

So after about a week lapse from waiting for the prior owner to get the title, I now own a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT 5-spd. It has 56,000 miles on it and has a couple issues: power door locks don't work, seems like the driverside actuator as the relay is clicking and pass side is trying to work, but driverside does nothing. Mirrors don't work either. Anyone else have these issues in the past? I'll post a pic of my nicest truck ever.

Just common stuff that wears out...Shouldn't be all that big of a job to replace the door lock actuators and mirror motors..
Hope you get it fixed...

Did a little more searching and found the same issue with the door locks - actuators fixed it...now the mirrors are a different story. I don't see any threads on that unless I'm just searching all the wrong stuff...

I would say its the motor in the mirror assembly but thats just a wild guess. If not that could be something as simple as a fuse. Or maybe its the control panel on the drivers door...hard to tell....Good luck with it. Glad to hear you got your door locks fixed.

Thanks. Yeah I wasn't getting the hits on this thread for the mirror issue, so I started a new one for that specific issue. Anyone know why the SRS (airbag)light flashes on occasionally?? That seems to be a serious issue, and the light is annoying.

Yeah I wasn't getting the hits on this thread for the mirror issue,
That's because you are not supposed to post technical issues in the Introductions forum.

Thanks for the kind words. I have since figured out the mirrors (switch). SRS light blinking is still a mystery to me, so I may have to start a new thread on it to get some better info. Can't find much on it otherwise. These guys on this site are pretty awesome. Way less drama here than some forums I've been to before.

Found the airbag light info...here's a link in case anyone else needs it. It seems these fuses and airbag systems have a few common issues.

I bought mine with ABS issues,MIT was scary going down the road and youd start to brake and the ABS would back feed through the brake pedal and you didn't slow down...
