I am new to the ford game. I currently drive a 2012 Silverado LT Z71 W/ appearance package. Thursday I am going to pick up my F150. It is quite the downgrade and that is nothing against the truck lol I'm the one who picked it out. I decided to go with the Ford simply to save money on my monthly income to expenses ratio. I will pay off this truck in 6 months or less versus 4 years on the silverado. I love my truck and I'm not brand loyal as you can tell. I have nothing against chevys, fords, dodges, etc. I have never understood why people get so animated about hating other brands lol.

This will be my first ford so I will be looking to all of you for guidance!

Picking up thursday:
2004 F150 FX4 5.4 extended cab
It is gray in color, gray leather(may be aftermarket, but looks factory), sunroof, spray in bedliner, catback magnaflow, and it is a center console shift

I am already ordering parts for it as I type...

I want a leveling kit, so I'm thinking about going with the rough country 2.5 kit (i had RC on both silverados and one tahoe) with the 1" block and RC 9000 shocks in the rear.

I am going to order ballistic jester 20" black wheels with 33 or 35" nitto mud grapplers but I can't decide on which ones to go with. (On my silverado you couldn't fit 33" tires w/ a leveling kit unless you used the factory wheels)

tinted taillights, and black harley style headlights with clear reflector

any other suggestions? and thanks for the welcome ahead of time!

 

with all those black aftermarket parts make sure to tint the windows too

So despite my offer to put money down as a deposit to hold the truck until I can drive to buy it tomorrow afternoon.....the internet sales rep shot me an upsetting email this afternoon to let me know that the truck has sold.

I found an FX4 crew cab w/ center console shift minus leather and a sunroof that I'm hopefully buying tomorrow afternoon though. After all I already took the afternoon off to make the trip to buy the other truck which is now driven by its new owner.
