Unhappy tieker

hello I am new here my problem is I just replaced my fuel pump and sending unit on a 1993 ford f-150 in the front tank everything worked fine but after a couple weeks when I filled the tank the needle on the gauage went past the full mark and stays there what happened

check your wires, they may have bad connections, or you bought a faulty sending unit.
