I wanted to read thoughts on the new F-150's since I'll be purchasing one in the future. I have an 02 XL-Sport and it is low in miles with a little over 105K and it has been a good truck all these years. I am a 10-12 year old kind of keeper of my vehicles and then I buy a new one and keep them about 10-12 years. I hate payments and so I take care of my stuff. These new ones ain't cheap and so I balk about buying a new one for so long.

I'm not one to give you a long term opinion of my truck, since i replace them every 2-3 years. I can tell you though, that the 2012 i have now is the best so far. Rides like a town car. Engine (5L) is just great and returns decent MPG. Getting 17.2 with only 5oo miles on it and expect it to get better as it gets broke in. Haven't towed with it yet. I'm happy with it.

 

When the day comes I look forward to a newer truck with some new bells and whistles.

 

Seems that Ford is adding content to their vehicles to increase the value. Our XLT came with a ton of great features that make ownership a pleasure, and the offer was unbeatable (IMO). Jump in!
