Hello from MS

Checking in from Mississippi. I just picked up a 2009 FX4 a couple days ago. The truck is awsome. I traded down from the dreaded 6.0 Powerstroke. Looking forward to digging into this site for as much information as I can.

How's it going guys? I'm originally from Mississippi but live in Phoenix Az as of now. Just figured I'd still introduce myself to the good ole southern boys. Hope everyone finds what there looking for out of this site. It's been pretty helpful for me.

Is 92000 miles too many miles on a 2006 f150 Fx4 to buy?

Depends....A 6 year old truck could easily have lots more than 90K by now. The more inportant questions include:
1) what was this truck doing over the past 6 years? Working (hauling, towing,), playing (off roading, hauling, towing) or commuting (one person or a car pool; stop and go or freeway).
2) what's worn out/needs replacing? Tires and brakes can add up on a truck, but shocks and steering parts arn't cheap either.
3) is the purchase price in line with the condition/mileage of the truck?
4) if you do need to spend more than the purchase price to get it road-worthy, could a higher-priced truck end up being a better buy?
5) what are you planning to use the truck for? Will you drive more or less than 15K miles/year? If more, how long can you expect the truck to last?

Good luck in whatever you decide.

Cheers, Brian
