pre-molded carpet kits

I'm thinking about installing a "drop-in" pre-molded carpet kit as an alternative to my old vinyl floor. Has anybody ever put one in? Are they a pain in the ****? Do they hold up good?

Not sure but, I've seen them in numerous catalogs.

I noticed you were out in Coos Bay. I'm out there occasionally on business... beautiful area.
