Cabin Air filtration Kit Availability
Cabin Air filtration Kit Availability
Does anyone know if these are still available? I called a local dealer and was told these have been discontinued. Part # F65Z-18D477-AA is what I have.
Anyone know a source for one of these kits?
Thanks

This is the Ford Accessories webpage. Not sure how "up-to-date" it is...but it's worth a shot.

Has anyone installed one of these? Difficulty level?
Is there another way to freshen the air? Maybe a dryer sheet near the air intake (which I don't know where the AC/Heat air input is)?

Linetest,
A dryer sheet might make the air smell better but it wouldn't do any filtering. The reason I installed the cabin air filter was to do just that, filter the pollen and dust out (sneeze, ragweed season, sneeze).
The filter kit is not real hard to install. The main problem is accessability. It goes in the heater air box inside the cab just below the glove compartment. You have to cut out a section of the air box (it's molded with this in mind), smooth the cutout with a file, mount the frame for the new cover, install the filter and install the cover. There just isn't much room under the dash to do all this. I used a mirror on the floorboard to see what I was doing.
