Exclamation s/cab rear seat...

I was just curious if the rear bench seat back on my 00 HD truck flips up or something. Anybody know??? Or is it just bolted on. Thanks

It just "slides" up and out of its supports. There are supports at the bottom of the seat to guide it in and "hooks" at the top the retain it. As it lifts up, you'll have to "disengage" the seat belts as they'll try to hold the seat back there.

Here's the info from the manual:

Rear Seat Backrest — SuperCab

Removal

1. Fold down both rear seat cushions.

2. Remove the rear seat back.

Push the wire hooks rearward to disengage the seat backrest from the back panel of the cab.

Lift the rear seat back upward and remove.

Installation

1. Align the upper hooks with the upper brackets on the back panel of the cab.

2. Note:
Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted.

Route the rear center safety belt through the retainer strap on the rear seat back.

3. Place the lower hooks behind the lower brackets on the back panel of the cab.

4. Lower the seat back until the lower hooks engage the lower brackets.

5. Verify all three upper hooks have engaged the upper brackets.

6. Check the restraint system for correct operation.
