maybe wasn't rug cleaner exactly, but you get the idea. my car had a smell of smoke (never again!) which I didn't like what so ever, so I got some carpet cleaner for automobiles (what the difference between auto and home carpet cleaners, I don't know) and I cleaned everything with a scrub brush and the cleaner, and not only is the smell gone, but everything is surprisingly soft. The headliner has more cushion now feels like my dad's navigators. cleaned everything carpet, and would recommend it to anyone else. (the cleaner came with a scrub around the nozzle, but it was a pain to use, and didn't work well on corners, if at all, so i took it off and got my own)

For grease stains on my wifes car carpet I sprayed some wd-40 on there and the grease came off so well I could hardly believe it..but of course I only used it on the spots, not on the whole carpet.

So now I know i can use the Turtle wax as well.
