ok, I think it is time for the old floor mat to go. Does anyone have any experiance with the aftermarket carpets or should I go OEM.

Check out this site, they have a really good rep. in the trim field. They have a set of carpet to fit nearly anything, and at decent prices. I'm sure the Ford carpet is higher than your worst nightmare.,,,,98

i called the dealer today for carpet for my 2001 regular cab...$515!!!!!! what kind of crap is that!

 

I had carpet installed in my 93 F150 XL when I bought it (new).....installed prior to delivery, but was not done by the dealer (they sent it to an aftermarket place they worked with). The carpet was functional, but not great, and was (if you can believe it :-) of lesser quality than OEM, and the installer "forgot" to make a few cut-outs in the lower door panel (which, of course, is not carpeted now in the later models). I guess it's like anything else.......go to a reputable trim shop, and watch 'em like a hawk, and you can probably get what you're looking for.

Looks like I was right about the dealer cost, lol! Check out the link I put in my first reply, they have carpet that runs about 130 to 180 dollars. A MUCH better price than $515!?! Jeez, sounds like the carpet from Elvis' Cadillac It had gold threads woven into it, hehehe.,,,,98
