Armrest lid

Does anyone have any idea what the spaces on the underside of the armrest lid are suppose to be for? I have an 00 XLT w/ the split bench and fold down armrest. Their are 2 things on the bottom the lid. One looks like it may be intended to hold an envelope, but an envelope gets crinkled when it is put in there. I haven't a clue what the other thing is suppose to be for.
Just curious if anyone has any ideas.

I have an '01 S cab w/ 60/40 seat and in the lid of mine the kleenex holder is at the bottom. Nothing special at the top...

Wow!

I've had my truck for over 2 years and I've never noticed there was anything on the bottom of the console lid. Now I'm going to have to look tomorrow on the way to work.

You're probably right! 5:30am is pretty early. I better write myself a note.

While your talking about storage spaces! How about the space on the right side of the glove box? It's big enough for a flash light etc. I keep a tire pressure gage stook there. What is it really for?

Not if you don't want to be called Daddy any time soon! That heat thing in the summer kind of ruins them
