Question How can I clean the air ducts?

Noticed a funky odor from the air ducts, I suspect mold or mildew, how can I clean them? I have an air compressor, is there a way to blow a cleaner through from the inside?

I used to work at a detail shop...what we would do was spray some general purpose cleaner (like Simple Green) into the vents, then hit the vents with the air compressor. Seemed to work well. If not, then it didn't take you that long or cost you any money.

drop the blower motor and vaccuum out all the dead bugs that may have collected in there.

use your compressor to blow INTO the vents (keep one open and shut off the rest) while keeping your shop-vac in the blower motor hole.
