Illumination color question for 97-98 owners.

Illumination color question for 97-98 owners.
Our trucks came from the factory with the blue instrument panel & radio lighting. Ford changed to green in 99.
My power window & door lock buttons are green. Since my '98 was built late in the model year (August), I wonder if Ford ran out of the blue ones and substituted '99 door panels with the green illuminated buttons. My cruise buttons on the steering wheel are blue though.
What color is everyone else's?
It's not a big deal, just a matter of curiousity.

My 98 was built around Nov. of 97, and also has the blue dash, and green door button lighting. Manufacturers are always doing that sort of thing though, or so I've heard. They will run out of a certain part, or the supplier can't get the matierials, so they move on to the next thing. It doesn't even bother me that much, really. I can't tell half the time, unless I look at the dash, then over to the door, making an effort to see the difference. There were a few guys a couple of years ago, that changed out the leds in the buttons so they would match. That is just a little on the hardcore side for me

The door switches have a small T1 LED inside of them to illuminate the arrows or lock/unlock design on the switch cover. The only small blue LED's available then were not bright enough to shine through the thick white plastic used in the switch so the green ones are used. The switches I used to add locks to my doors and tailgate had orange ones inside of them. Switched to the blue LED's (not very bright, uh, the lights I mean!) to match. Then I installed the Alpine...too many green LED's! Have installed bright blue LED's in the cupholders!

I always thought the window switches were green so that a moron, like myself, wouldn't get confused between the window switches and the dash panel and do something stupid like unlock the doors when trying to engage cruise control hmmm?????This is another project for my list now that I know I can change the LED's.
