Question '98 - '01 interior design......possible?

I have a 1998 f150, and it doesn't have any of the fancy overhead console stuff that the newer models have. Needless to say i am very jealous of these new and improved features. Does anybody know if it's possible to but these newer additions (mirror, console, etc.) in my truck?

Yes you can install the '01 overhead, however you also need the headliner (contoured to fit console)

Hey Airbag, did a search and found this thread because I was considering doing the same thing. Could you please let me know what you find out about this mod. as far as cost and part numbers? I would sure appreciate it before I go to dealer and do the same thing.

Airbag, Thanks for the post. I asked my dealer about this about a year ago and couldn't get him intersted in pricing it out. I too am interested in doing this upgrade to my 99.

I too wanted the console, but due to the following being one third the cost, i installed:

the oem compass/temperature mirror, and it auto dims! To be honest, i like it better than having a console with a non-dimming mirror. Some argue the console provides a place to put your shades, but I have a 99, so there is a cubby hole in front of my right knee...

wow - i'm surprised at how many of you wanted to do the same thing. Well, actually - i'm not surprised at all. i will post any findings. although, with it being winter in CT my truck will be in storage until spring. so don't wait for me.
