Unhappy Headrests

I accidently put one of my back seat headrests in my '01 SuperCrew in backwards and now I can not get it back out. Has anyone else done this or know how I can get it out without tearing or breaking things?

Thanks
Matt

If you can release the fabric from the bottom rear of the seat back, you may be able to reach up and release the retaining clips. The fabric is sometimes sewn onto interlocking strips and should came apart and reinstall relatively easy.
I had to do this on my Taurus once.
Good Luck.

Check out page 129 of owner's manual. You can release using a paper clip in the hole opposite the release button.

They may have added this info to the 2002 Owner's manual. June 2001 printing
