I was at my friendly neighborhood care stereo shop having an alarm installed on my new 2k2 and the installer said "llok like someone was smokin' down at the Claycomo plant" I said "huh" he said they left out the black mesh that goes between the speaker and speaker grill (door) on your truck. As I looked in the light I noticed that you can se right through the slits in the grill and there is no mesh. Is this factory or did the guys at the plant forget something.


PS im in Kansas City and Claycomo (in KC) is where all F150's are built (at least this is what I was told).

 

There is no "mesh" between the oem speakers and door "grill" - - why would there be ?

 

mine dont have them, maybe the joker was trying to sell you some

 

i believe they also make f-150's in ontario canada. thats where mine was made

 

I have mesh. I cannot see my speakers through the grille.

 

Claycomo built 01 SuperCab. Fabric mesh behind grilles on front doors, no mesh behind grilles on rear doors.

 

I just dyna-matted my doors last sunday and when I removed the door panels there was a black mesh on the inside of the door panel.
