Power Window Driver Side 1999 F150

All of a sudden my Auto Power window on the driver side has stopped working. Worked just fine the night before. Now all I get is a CLICK at the relay. The passenger works just fine. Any idea's. Going to take the door apart this eve.

dkardell,

mine does the same thing whenever i get it wet. if you've had your door open in the rain, or maybe just your window down this could do it. mine got soaked in va. beach this summer i thought it might be fried this time. after a couple of weeks it started working again. who knows? Rich.

Might want to check all your connections first, you can pry up the cover that is around the switches, just use your hands so as not to mess up the plastic. Make sure that the switches are plugged in. If so...
Take off the door panel, and check to see if the regulator (behind the vapour barrier) is connected, maybe check for continuity? that should give you a start...
I've not had this problem.....knock on wood, so i'm just thinking of what i would do first in this situation.

door switch

Accidently screwed mine up when I opened my door. I actually broke the switch itself. It is pretty light plastic material and I think I broke it when I pressed the switch down too hard. Luckily for me it would go up but not down. I was under warrenty so I just took it in.
<side vent> Called the dealer for an appointment they told me it would be three and a half weeks! damn. but only one that is near me so .... btw they are CAPITOL FORD in San Jose.

Hmm.. .I have not taken the door off yet (was going to do that this weekend). I keep trying it eveyday hoping it will just start to work. I have looked at the diagram that someone put out there on how to take the door handle plastic and switch plastic off. Hope I don't screw it up. How do you pry open the switches with just your hands ? Is there a CLIP at the front (the sides look like that have tabs).
