ding, how do i turn off the ding noise when i have left my keys in the ignition, i enjoy having my drivers side door open, and have keys in ignition.... ding ding ding

 

On my 97 F150 I had, I slipped off the wire lead at the key switch and wrapped it in electrical tape. Just remove 2 or 3 screws on your lower steering column cover to gain access....

 

The awitch is in your door. For a temporary fix, trip the door latch. Don't forget to reset it BEFORE closing the door!
