New here and hope this is where this post goes.. I have 97 reg cab and hate the full bench seat and would like to change it up a bit. I’ve seen posts about swapping seats from expedition but never in a reg cab. I don’t know if that even makes a difference. Anyways I like the look of the buckets seats with the wider center console and was it possible for my truck. Something like this picture I seen on here..
Thanks and sorry if this doesn’t make sense..also I know that if I wanted the wider console I can’t get the seats with armrests.. just didn’t know what years would work on if it would

pcruz,
Surprised you didn't have any replies yet. The answer to your question is, yes, you can put the full length console and bucket seats in a regular cab. The floor pans where the seats mount are the same, shape-wise. The driver's seat will be a direct bolt-in. If your bucket seat is powered, you may have to fab up a harness to power it if your truck didn't come with that option, or just swap the powered seat frame for the manual one. For the full length console like an Expedition, there are 2 brackets that are factory installed into the floor underneath it that hold it in place. If you buy the console, make sure to get these 2 brackets. You'll probably have to drill/tap your own holes for them. They may be there under the carpet, I can't say for sure. On the passenger seat, if your truck came with the split bench, you probably won't have the bolt hole that's next to the trans tunnel on the front. I had the same issue when I put buckets in my split-bench truck years ago, and the passenger seat was only held by 3 bolts instead of 4. No huge biggie. Again, you could drill/tap the hole if you really felt it was necessary. And that hole may also already be there under the carpet. Probably have to get under the truck and look to know for sure.
Of course I'm sure you've already figured out that with bucket seats in your regular cab, you'll only be able to carry one passenger. They made some trucks that way from the factory, but it probably wasn't a popular option. Most people want to have the most passenger room they can get in a given vehicle. I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing soon. I recently stripped a 2000 Navigator and got the front seats and console out of it, and might do some trading and get a single cab F150 to put them in. I did not get the console floor brackets from the Navigator, so I'll probably just let the console sit there unbolted. It's heavy enough, it shouldn't go very far. There's also a trim piece under the dash in the center where the console butts up to it that you should also get. Again, I didn't get that from the Navigator either. I think that allows the floor ventilation to pass through the bottom of the console to the back seats if you had any. If you're putting it in a regular cab truck, that's no biggie either. I'm looking forward to doing this all soon, I hope. I hope to find a SuperCab truck so I won't be so passenger-limited. Good luck.
Just saw the end of your post about the wide/narrow consoles. I'm not sure what year they changed them, but I'm almost positive you have to match the seat type to the console width. If your console is full width at the top, I don't think you can put seats with armrests in. If your seats do have armrests, you probably have to remove the armrests.
