As the title would imply....the plastic **** on my transfer case shifter pulls OFF. Any "special" glue to use for this? I would rather ask than to start trying crap that makes more of a mess as nothing usually works..

 

I recommend a light coating of rubber cement inside of the ****, then push it back on.

You don't want to glue it on there.

 

This appears to be a common issue with that gear shift ****. The **** came off my 2005 and I've seen plenty of videos on Youtube where other users had the same issue. About 10 years later the light bulb for PRNDL burnt out. The last straw was 4 years later the accordion surrounding the gear stick started to disintegrated and I had a huge hole.

I was looking for a 3rd party gear shift assembly but couldn't I couldn't fine 1.
