Drivers seat Vs Passenger Seat

I ribbed a small hole in the drivers seat, right by the door so everytime you step in and out you make it larger,
so I was thinking, is the passenger and drivers seat the same? the bottom only of cause I know the seatback is not.
if it is I could then swap seats and the center console would cover the hole and save me $ 400 for now anyway.

Thanks

I have a similar situation with my drivers seat but I'm going to talk to a local upholstery shop and see if I can get the small patch repaired for around $20. If you have any similar shops around you, give em a call, it can't hurt....

I went with new seat covers. Wish I had done it sooner.

I looked into having just the seat bottom recovered and was quoted $400 including having the dead foam replaced with new, thought that was a lot so I started thinking the passenger seat should do, it still has good foam since my fat *** has been in the other side.
If I find a solution i will post back with pictures if I remember.

Thanks for the answers

There is a hole in the material for the lever and lower lumbar support on the drivers side. Not on the passenger side. I had mine apart to switch out tracks and bottums in a bench to bucket seat conversion with an extra set of buckets i bought. I didn't want the power seat option and to switch out the bottum seat cover so it would match the rest of the interior. Take the cover off and get some upholstery thread and needle and do it yourself. It's not that hard.
