Leather Driver's Seat Fix

Well like most people with a 10 year old truck with leather seats, my driver's seat was worn through and ripped. e-bay has replacement factory cover's for $190+tax and shipping...more than i wanted to pay. And it's getting hard to find used seats in better shape than mine. So I found a guy online selling driver and passenger seat's identical to mine. I bought them for $80. The driver's was worn and the passenger was mint, like most. So I took the cover off the passenger and took my old one off and switched them. You will have to make some new holes for seat controls and it's kind of a pain taking the seats apart, but it will work and now I have a perfect leather interior in a 2001 truck. Because passenger leather is easier to find in good shape maybe this will help people get their seats the way they want them.

What a great idea! I have a similar problem and considered replacing the seat covers. I will look for a passenger seat and let you know what if I have similar luck. Thanks for the post. Sometimes the idea is so simple it is difficult to imagine.

No problem. Like I said you will have to make a few new holes but it will fit and look great.
