Interior light bulb replacement?

2 questions, I have a center console shift interior, and was wondering is the part that says what gear you are in suppose to light up? Mine doesn't. How do I change that bulb?

2nd question my friend has a 06 and has a map light burnt out, how do you get to it with out ruining the the plastic? His has the sunglass holder on the headliner.

For the counsel....

take a look at the pic above,,, the first thing to do is to pull off part number 1 on the left side of the center console ,,,start at the bottom of it and pry it away from the console

then pry up part number two ,,,the cup holder bezel ,,,,its just held in by clips ,,,

now take a look at the shift cable ,,number 3,,, its held on to the shifter assembly in two places,,, at the ware the number three is ,,,it just pops off with a flat bladed screw driver ,,,and at the other end there is a tab to push in and then the shift cable slides up and off the shifter

then you just have to remove the four bolts , number 4 , for the shifter and unplug its conector ,,and the shifter will be out ,,,number 5
