2005 F150 Lariat Console

I have a 2005 F150 Lariat Extended Cab. I recently ordered a set of rear bags and an air compressor to fill them. The compressor came with a single gauge and switch. I am having my moms husband do the install for me since I am currently deployed. I plan on mounting the gauge and switch inside my center console. The truck has a center console shifter. How is the black bin secured inside the console? Is there enough room under the center console to run a few wires and an airline? Any info is greatly appreciated

The top cover around the shifter just pops off. There is a ton of room under the console itself. As far as removing the bin..... I did not see any way that it came out when I was in there. I have ALL my navigation wiring running through the console.

thats where i mounted mine in my fx4. i just popped off the cupholder section and drilled a hole through the black bin in the console to run the air line and wires through. theres plenty of room to run everything. was a pretty easy install.

So he won't have to remove the shifter handle? I appreciate all the information. I wish i was home to do this myself.

NOPE. Shifter handle remains. The chrome oval trim around the shifter also stays put. ALL the gray area from front to back and side to side will pop right off.

Gobs of room in the console. I have my Ipod module in there along with wiring from my emergency lights and my siren control.
