Rattles everywhere..
Rattles everywhere..
hey guys, i have a 2006 F-150 XLT. I've had it for about a year now, and im really getting tired of all the rattles. It started in the dash, making a clicking noise like two ball bearings or a loose bolt/clip. Now two new "noises" have shown themselves. One is over by the fuse box, it sounds like a styrofome sonic cup squeaking, and the other is somewhere behind me, i havnt even looked into it yet. I took my whole dash/steering wheel apart today looking for the rattle and i cannot find it. I just want to be able to drive without having to turn my music up to not hear all these moans and groans. Any advice?
Dynamating might help you out a bit..in the doors and on panels ETC to reduce vibrations. I have Scab and the rattles that come from the back doors drive me nuts since its not a solid frame in the middle that the doors close to.
One suggestion -- may not be your source....try checking the outside black plastic shroud/vent under the wipers -- it will squeek where it contacts the windshield. Silicone spray fixes this and I looked forever in and under the inside dash before figuring it out from the outside.
