Grab handle removal

I'm trying to remove the inside A pillar plastic trim from my 2002 F-150. How do you remove the grab handle? What kind of fastener is used? It doesn't look like a screw or nut. I tried several different sockets, but no luck.

Thanks!

In my 2003 F150 I used 8mm socket. 2002 and 2003 A-pillars and grab handles are different by design, but I believe the fastening is similar (at least they are looking similar - I happen to have a pair of 2002 handles as well).
