I got a gray airbag and a black steering wheel, will acetone take the "paint" off it so it will show the black underneath without hurting the texture/grain of the surface...If not acetone what would you suggest...

If not I will talk to the guy at the junkyard to see if I can get the one that is already starting to flake and is showing black...

 

Just clean it good and spray it with 2/3 light coats of black rustoleum.
